Looking for a few days of relaxation, we decided to book a short stay at Residence Rosa dei Venti in Rosignano Marittimo, in the province of Livorno.

Residence Rosa dei Venti in Rosignano Marittimo: what to expect
Residence Rosa dei Venti is a tourist resort located in Vada, a small hamlet in the municipality of Rosignano Marittimo. It includes flats, a beautiful swimming pool with a small whirlpool area, a bar/restaurant, a minimarket, a children’s play area, and several fields where you can practice sports.
Residence is located halfway between the pine forest and the beaches of Mazzanta di Vada, on the Costa degli Etruschi. The nearest beach is 600 metres away – 6/7 minutes on foot.
The flats are of different sizes and guarantee privacy by having an independent entrance. They also have a small garden equipped with table and chairs. Each flat has its own parking space, covered by a canopy.
The three swimming pool pools within the complex have different water levels (150cm for adults, 80cm for children). There is also a pleasant whirlpool area and a small waterfall.
A few metres from the pool, a sort of ‘beach’ of fine sand has been reconstructed on which there are sun loungers, parasols and nice games for children.
For sports enthusiasts within the complex, there is also a beach volleyball court and a synthetic court where they can play tennis, basketball and five-a-side football as well as an area with gymnastic equipment.
The residence also offers bicycle hire, also with child seats.

The flats have a kitchen and you can do your shopping in the small supermarket in the village.
If you don’t feel like cooking, there is a restaurant with really delicious dishes and honest prices, with tables outside or a takeaway service.
There is also a barbecue area – shared with other guests – with grills and an oven for cooking pizza.
Residence Rosa dei Venti: services for families with children
The Residence Rosa dei Venti offers a Miniclub and Animation service included in the price. They only accept children from 3 years of age – below that the child must be accompanied by a parent – and the service is active both in the morning and in the afternoon (with a break for lunch). In the evenings there is a small baby dance. A praise to the entertainers who are really good and manage to involve even the most wary child without ever being too intrusive.

The Residence Rosa dei Venti is pet friendly.
Our four-legged friends can enter both the flat and most of the communal areas; there is also a Dog Park, i.e., a fenced area where they can run around freely and be washed.
It may be useful to know that the nearest “Bau Beach“, i.e., reserved for animals, is about 1.5 km away.

In the surroundings of Residence Rosa dei Venti in Rosignano Marittimo
At 600 metres on foot or a few kilometres by car, you can reach beautiful free and equipped beaches. There is a mini amusement park very close to the Residence.
About ten minutes by car, there is the Acqua Village Cecina, and about 40 minutes by car, there is the Aquarium of Livorno. You can buy the entrance ticket HERE.
How to get to Rosignano Marittimo
From Genoa, taking the A12 motorway, you can reach Rosignano Marittimo in about 2h30.
From Siena it takes about 2h, Pisa 50 minutes, driving along the SS1 Aurelia.
Conclusions
Residence Rosa dei Venti is the ideal place to relax in a clean and well-organised environment. The children ‘s entertainment is engaging and never intrusive, and is ideal for letting them enjoy themselves for a few hours while their parents rest. The swimming pool, the in-house restaurant and the proximity to the beach complete the offer.
