Pellizzano is a village in the Val di Sole, located at an altitude of 925 metres. Attracted by its beautiful playground, we decided to better explore this small village of less than 800 souls.

What to do in Pellizzano
The historic centre of Pellizzano is built around the Gothic-Renaissance Parish Church of the Nativity of Mary , and the streets that branch off from the square in front of the church are narrow cobbled lanes.
One of the main attractions of this small town is the municipal park called Parco di Sama.
Sama Park

Sama Park is a 9,000-square-metre theme park (currently home to Alice in Wonderland) where several varieties of apple trees have been planted, most of them dating back to the early 1900s.
Inside the park, you can find several playgrounds and beautiful wooden deckchairs where you can sit and perhaps read a book borrowed from the Reuse Library. You can find it inside a wooden house in the centre of the park, which is, however, only open in summer.
The park is also used for public events and on Wednesdays hosts the stalls of local producers.
Adjacent to the Sama Park is the actual playground of Pelizzano, a joy for children of all ages.
Pellizzano playground

The Pellizzano playground is a large green area equipped with volleyball, tennis and football pitches, and with various play installations such as slides, swings, zip lines, trampolines, sandpits, climbing ropes, and much more.
Like almost all, if not all, playgrounds in Trentino, the one in Pellizzano also has a drinking fountain and toilet facilities.
There is also a small car park near the playground and a larger one slightly further away, well signposted. Both are free of charge.
Bontempelli Riding School
Located on the cycle path leading from Mezzana to Pellizzano, the Agritur Bontempelli offers riding lessons for beginners and more experienced riders.
Horseback riding lessons are organised in the morning from 9 a.m. to midday, and in the afternoon from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., upon reservation at 39 348 4876411.
The price for a 1-hour ride is €28.00, a 2-hour ride is €45.00, and a half-day ride to the beautiful Caprioli Lake is €80.00.
The Bontempelli Riding School is also an agritourism and hotel.
Walks
Deer Lake

If you are in Pellizzano, you cannot miss a visit to the picturesque Roe Deer Lake, 5 kilometres away from the centre of Pellizzano, in the locality of Fazzon.
There are two ways of accessing the lake: by car, parking about 500 metres away and continuing on foot, or leaving directly on foot from the Pellizzano playground via the Sentiero degli Gnomi (Gnomes’ Trail). Go to the complete article.
